COOPERATION BRIDGES IN TWO MUNICIPALITIES CULTURE

 Last weekend Palilula Municipality was visited by delegation of Bobov Dol (Republic of Bulgaria) on the occasion of the realization of the project of Cooperation for sustainable development of cultural tourism in Bobov Dol and Palilula (Coul Tour)` that is realized within the programme of cross-border cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia within IPP programme. Palilula Municipality as a partner to Bobov Dol Municipality on the project Coul Tour, worked on the improvement and reconstruction of Bubanj Memorial Park – space around memorial monument and Amphitheatre. ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN CONSTRUCTION

 Last week many meetings and gatherings on the projects of energy efficiency in global climate changes were organized and promoted in Nis. That was the occasion for the conversation with Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality about the activities on the project Development and improvement of competitiveness of SME in the field of increasing energy efficiency in construction` that is realized with this organization of local self-government of the City of Nis successfully implements. This is a part of the interview with president Dzunic recorded by media ecologic net EKOpolis.Global warming and climate change are now a global problem and a major threat to the life and development of the global population. TRAINING ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY

 Within the completing activities on the project `Development and improvement of SME in the field of increasing of energy efficiency in construction`, supported by LEDIB programme in the Centre for the development of entrepreneurship of Palilula Municipality, one day seminar took place for the entrepreneurs, representatives of partner organizations (Opeka Brik, Administration for planning and construction of the City of Nis, EKOPOLIS – media ecologic net of Serbia) and other project participants. About the topic `How to make energy efficient object` spoke Miroljub Stankovic, and about Legal and institutional surrounding for the implementation of the measures of energy efficiency in construction` (on the basis of EU regulation and international standards), spoke Svetislav Pantic.

INCREASING STANDARD BY SAVING ENERGY

 On the occasion of completion the activities on the project Development and improvement of competitiveness of SME in the field of increasing energetic efficiency in construction` of Palilula Municipality that was supported by LEDIB programme, in Nis Media Center was organized press conference. About the significance of this project for Palilula Municipality, City of Nis and Region spoke Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality, Zarko Simovic, coordinator of LEDIB programme, Ljubisa Jakovljevic, project manager and Dragan Vidojkovic, coordinator of Media ecologic net EKOpolis. This developmental project of Palilula Municipality is being realized in the partnership with Construction cluster `Opeka brik`, Administration for planning and construction of the City of Nis and EKOpolis.

ENERGY FORUM ABOUT RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

 Ministry of energy, development and environment of Serbia Mrs. Zorana Mihajlovic, opened third International energetic forum, that is organized Central – European forum for development (CEDEF), in Nis on the subject `Supplying of energy and energetic protection in south east Europe`. In the presence of the Mayor of Nis PhD Zoran Perisic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management ` of Republic of Srpska Zeljko Kovacevic, coordinator for renewable resources in Ministry of economy of Montenegro Igor Kovacevic, president of Managing Board of Elektroprivreda, Serbia Aca Markovic and president of Managing Board of CEDEF Jovanka Arsic Karisic, Minister Mihajlovic emphasized the importance of providing necessary quantities of energy, energetic and ecological acceptable way, taking into account the growth of the needs and demands for energents and higher exploitation of limited natural resources.

CRAFTSMEN CREATIVE WORKS SUCCESFULLY PRESENTED

 Heading to the celebration of the Jubilee 1700 of Milan Edict - 1700 ANNIVERSARY OF THE EDICT OF MILAN, AD 313-2013 and under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality and support of Nis Cultural Center, Craft Chamber Nis – General association individual traders and craftsmen of Nis organized the exhibition of art works, icons and souvenirs. At the exhibition presented in NKC, more than 160 craftsmen showed about 350 craft and art works that had common component – Milan Edict. The exhibition was opened by Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality. In greeting words addressed to craftsmen the president emphasized that creativity and determination of the authorities of Crafts Chamber and its member is very much appreciated.

MEMORIAL PARK `BUBANJ` ADAPTATION ACCORDING TO PROJECT DYNAMICS

 President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic with his associates, representatives from the Institute for cultural monuments protection and Public Enterprise `Gorica` from Nis, visited Memorial Park Bubanj area around Memorial place and Amphitheatre reconstructed within the project of cross border cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia ` `Cooperation for sustainable development of cultural tourism in Municipalities Bobov Dol and Palilula`.`MD Gradnja Inzenjering Transport – Nis` was selected on the tender for the contractor and implementation of works, and has the deadline until October 15 when the works from the project should have been completed.It is expected that this locality will be also visited by the representatives of European Union so that they could see that the planned works and approved resources in the amount of 121,666 Euros are according to the project.

EXHIBITON OF ART WORKS, ICONS AND SOUVENIRS IN NIS CULTURAL CENTER

 Under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality and with the support of Nis cultural center, Crafts Chamber of Nis – General association of individual traders and craftsmen of Nis is organizing `Exhibition of art works, icons and souvenirs` as contribution to celebration of 1700th Anniversary of the Edict of Milan AD 313 – 2013.It is expected that this exhibition in NKC (Stanoje Bunusevca street, bb) Wednesday 19 2012 at 12 00 will be opened by Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality. As Blagoje Stanisavljevic, president of Crafts Chamber of Nis says, 160 exhibitors with over 350 exhibits will be presented. The work of students of school of iconography will be specially promoted, together with the works in golden embroidery, old craft from Byzantium period, calligraphy.

We have been for ten years part of world ecological movement that also during this weekend of CUW campaign gathered over 40 million volunteers in 140 countries of the world – emphasized Dragan Vidojkovic, national coordinator of the campaign and leader of EKOpolis. Clean up the world is not only unique activity bur also check of our ecologic consciousness and responsibility of the community for its own life surrounding.

 On the basis of the Article 55 and 56 of the Law on local self government (`Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia`, No 129 / 2007) and Article 55 of the Statute of the City of Nis (`Official Gazette of the City of Nis`, no 123/2008), Palilula Municipal Council, at the session held on September 10 2012, brought the Decision on appointing Marija Brajdic, lawyer, for the Head of Municipal administration of Palilula Municipality for the period of five years starting from September 11 2012. This Decision is published in `Official Gazette` of the City of Nis.

CENTER IS WHERE THE TEMPLE OF GOD IS!

 Palilula Municipality celebrated on Sunday 9 the Saints Day – Gathering of all Serbian Saints. The traditional Saints Day cake was cut in Saint Nikola church where the Holly Sermon with prayer of calling Holly Spirit for the beginning of new school year, was held by His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan. While wishing all the best to the authorities of Palilula Municipality, this year to the host Milan Stevanovic and the president of Municipality Boban Dzunic, who took over the duty for the next year, His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan said: It is wonderful that we said our prayers on the day of all these Saints, for they gave the lights to the lighthouse, to the candles of this God house, who were taught of light of God and also enlighten the others with Christ light.

 Palilula Municipality on Sunday September 9 celebrates its Municipal Saints Day - Gathering of Serbian Saints. We are inviting you to be present during the coming of Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan who will be serving Holly Sermon at 8 00 in Saint Nikola Church. At about 11 00 the traditional cutting of Saint`s Day cake will be also in the Church. The host of this year celebration is Milan Stevanovic. Saints Day reception will be in the Hall of NKC on Sunday September 9 2012 beginning at 12 00.

PALILULA MUNICIPALITY ADPATS MUNICIPAL SETTLEMENTS

 From thirty wild dumps, registered in Palilula Municipality with the help of citizens by the Service for inspection affairs, 15 locations were adapted into green surfaces. Resources, in the amount of 1,45 million RSD, that we got thanks to project `Transformation of illegal dumps into park surfaces` were directed to sanitation of 15 locations where waste was put. We transformed them into green surfaces also in these locations we put mobiliars for recreation activities of children and young people. Today during the visit of the settlement Delijski Vis in Veljka Petrovica street, we saw one of the adapted, earlier ruined locations –emphasized Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality.

WHOLE CITY AS A THEATRE STAGE

 The theatre plays of the second night of Urban Fest –International student festival of theater, for the eight time is organized by SKC Nis and Academic theatre of SKC are staged in Palilula Municipality. The members of Academic theatre SKC Nis played Women Orchestra play in the schoolyard of `Svetozar Markovic` High school. The play was directed and adapted by Marko Djuric, play by Jean Anouilh. The students of acting of the Faculty of Art, Novi Pazar, department in Nis, played `Double Mirror`, directed бy Kristina Brzic.
